OUR ORIGIN

A Family Dream Baked Into Every Slice

Pizzana was born from a simple dream: to bring the authentic flavors of Neapolitan pizza to the heart of Dallas. Founded in 2012 by the Romani family, our restaurant started as a 12-table neighborhood spot on Knox Street. Word spread quickly, and what began as a family passion became a Dallas institution.

We import our San Marzano tomatoes from Campania, Italy, use only 00-grade flour for our hand-stretched dough, and fire every pizza in our custom-built wood-burning oven that reaches 900°F. Every detail matters because every customer deserves the best.

A Decade of Delicious History

Every milestone has been a step closer to the pizza experience we always dreamed of sharing with Dallas.

2012

Pizzana Opens Its Doors

Marco and Sofia Romani open the first Pizzana location at 3219 Knox St with just 12 tables, a handmade menu, and a dream of bringing authentic Neapolitan pizza to Dallas.

2014

First "Best Pizza" Award

Dallas Observer names Pizzana the city's Best Pizza, sending reservation requests soaring and putting us firmly on the Dallas culinary map.

2016

New Wood-Fired Oven Installed

We invest in a custom-built Neapolitan oven imported from Naples, capable of reaching 900°F and transforming our crusts into perfection.

2018

Delivery & Catering Launch

Responding to massive customer demand, Pizzana launches neighborhood delivery and a full catering service for events across the DFW metroplex.

2020

Community Kitchen Initiative

During challenging times, Pizzana launches the Community Kitchen Initiative, donating over 8,000 pizzas to Dallas healthcare workers and families in need.

2022

Full Renovation & Expansion

Pizzana undergoes a major expansion, doubling seating capacity, opening a private dining room, and adding an outdoor patio to our Knox Street home.

2024

50,000 Customers Served
